The southern end of Route 11

After a Sounding near the Mississippi River this morning, where Guy and I were joined by four Unitarian Universalists for a time of listening and reflecting, we found the very beginning of Route 11, in the Bayou Sauvage Wildlife Center east of New Orleans. We walked for two hours in rain that sprinkled or poured most of that time.

Wow! I love these photos! That's fantastic that you found the very beginning of Route 11. I love the photos of you walking, and I love you T-shirt. I'm so excited for you to begin walking tomorrow.

Patty - I appreciate your concern but I actually love to walk with my Brazilian flip-flops, the famous Havaianas. They're great in the rain. But rest assured, I have a pair of athletic shoes and two pairs of walking sandals. - Great

Hoping that your first days on the Pilgrimage are wonderful and full of spiritual uplift.
I started working out again this week after being winter lazy, in hopes that I might join you for a portion of your journey. Either way know that I am there in spirit. Hoping to walk and bike around locally in Pa more and more, breaking my oil addiction in solidarity with you.
Paz e amor para a terra de mãe
