Things keep happening

The 10 Step Carbon Action Program (note change of name from Car Addiction Pro to Car Action Pro) has its own website where folks can sign up and be counted. We currently have 28 members, plus 14 children who've singed onto the 10 Steps for Children, which is part of 10StepCAP, with a page of their own on the website.

We are also on Facebook as a group, with 47 members. Please join on one or both of these sites if you haven't already.

A group from the Lehigh Valley took a Climate Walk for Earth Day, on April 24th, from Allentown to Bethlehem (about 6.5 miles). I'll add a photo to this entry soon. The group consisted of only 7 but it was a good WALK. We carried signs, including Tim's huge CUT THE CARBON scissors,  and handed out literature. We combined forces with the Gas Truth Group, a Clean Water Action initiative that calls attention to and combats the destructive Marcellus Shale drilling for natural gas in northeastern PA and elsewhere. We concluded the walk at the marvelous Wildflower Cafe in South Bethlehem, in time for the chili tasting and other fun activities of the annual Spring on 4th festival. The Gas Truth Group had a table where over 60 passersby signed letters to elected officials urging action to stop the drilling.

For May we have chosen an acitivity: Take a carbon footprint test (carbonfootprint.com or any other one) and report your score. You might also choose to share what you plan to do to improve your score.

Hoping to hear from you.
